About James Hill

Unified manufacturing was built by Industry expert James Hill. James started his basic beginning as a band Manager in the UK music industry before moving to Los Angele’s to sign his first act to RCA records – he was 20 years of age. After a short career as a music manager, during the dot com area he founded a company called Liveunsigned, with the solo purpose of recording live bands for touring purposes, and for unsigned bands to showcase their live ability to the Music industry. Such A&R heavy weights that where involved where Bruce Floor at the time head of A&R for RCA records, Mio vukovic VP of A&R at Warner reprise and Bob Jamison, Chairman and CEO of BMG music. Hill developed a TV show with VH1 which became late night with Zach, as a place for up and coming bands to showcase their music.
Missing the every day to day of managing acts and bands Hill started the Science lab, and managed Song writers and Producers,. The science lab found itself camped over at A&M/Inters cope records/ for 2 years working the majority of the time on the up and coming artists Keisha Cole with Ron Fair and Damon Elliot , who debut album “ The way it is” went platinum.. Thus giving hill his first Platinum record. During this time they also recorded and wrote songs for INXS, Pink, Gwen Stefanie, Mary J bilge.
Noticing the increasing change that where occurring like what seemed over night around this time, 2006 Hill started a touring merch company, media company as well as a e commerce fulfillment house. Hosting merch for the likes of Pillar, Thursday, Willie Nelson and working with legendary Swag merchant Pamela Hansel /Ex CEO Amp Merchandising, they swagged for the Bob Dylan, Black eye peas, Willie Nelson, Beck, Billy corgan. Unified manufacturing manufactures some 145 independent record labels in the United States and produced over 600,000 Units for the Music industry in the Year 2009. When he is not blogging and working James can be found watching his beloved Aston Villa football team and gardening.
