Now that anyone can just send wedding invites through email, Facebook and apps, less and less people are sending paper invitation cards. Some find paper invites redundant. They won’t even open them anymore!
But what if you really want to send wedding invites? For it to be worth the trouble, you gotta add something that can make it extra special. Otherwise, why bother if your wedding invite is just a piece of stationery.
Here are some items that you can attach to your invite to make them extra special:
ADD SPOON/ FORK TO YOUR WEDDING INVITE TO LET THEM KNOW THERE’S GOING TO BE A FEAST
This is from Starbucks but we’ve seen a lot of invites like this for weddings and other events. This is as straightforward as it gets and something that anyone can appreciate. It says “We have a feast, let’s dig in!” Perfect if you don’t want too many frills and if you are mainly focused on food.
ADD TOBACCO TO YOUR WEDDING INVITE (FOR THE BOYS)
Could be given to your groomsmen but would still work for your guests. No one would throw away this kind of invitation.
ADD NAIL POLISH TO YOUR WEDDING INVITE (FOR THE GIRLS)
Same as the cigar, but for girls. What’s great about this is that it’s something that’s not too expensive but it’s still something girls would still love to receive.
BALLOONS TO REVEAL THE MESSAGE
You’ve exerted much effort to send an invite, maybe it’s just fair that your recipients should do their part, too. Let them blow air into this balloon to get the details of your event. They’ll hate you for it but it’s fun.
KEY WITH ENGRAVED PLATE
If you want something classy, then have your invitation engraved in a gold plate.

Probably the sweetest idea ever for an invite.

How literal is this? A pencil for “penciling in”? Brilliant and affordable.
