There are so many creative CD artwork concepts so it is no surprise that we find albums with eggs artwork. I do not like eggs very much. I don’t like them boiled, I don’t like them fried, I don’t like them with my soup, I don’t like them mixed with my drink but I do love making art out of eggs- painting easter eggs, cracking eggshells and using it as canvas.

Cosmic Egg – Wolfmother
Stare closely at an egg for 5 minutes and they start to look like they’re creepy objects from outer space. It does remind me of aliens and the Coneheads. Wooooo. Pretty cool concept.
‘It’s Blitz!’-Yeah Yeah Yeahs
This album cover has a lot of haters but I personally love it. Maybe because I recognize how difficult it is to crush an egg- and to crush it in such a way that it would produce this kind of splash/squirt.

Probably the worst one in the list. Are they trying to be profound? Seriously! with an egg?
Double Egg With Chips And Beans- Antique Seeking Nuns
They forgot coffee! The title of their album should have been “Double Egg with Chip and Beans and Coffee and Fork, and Knife”
Pickled Eggs & Sherbet- The All Seeing
Ahhh lovely. I like this! I love how they put life to these eggs by sketching them with grumpy faces. Poor stupid eggs just want to get out of the salty water.
Best of Brahms- Johannes Brahms
I wonder what they’re trying to say with this artwork. The use of pan-fried bacon and eggs as the choice of a cover photograph for the “Best of Brahms” is a mystery to me. I guess they basically want to say WTF.
Egg- The Civil Service
Eggs- Oh No Ono
This was nominated in the 53rd Grammy’s for Best Record Packaging. Although it did not win, I still think it has the cleverest design.
