We here at Unified are obsessed with beautiful music packaging. We’ve been making creative releases since 2008 and lovely packaging has become an obsession of ours. We even have a Pinterest page dedicated to all things media packaging. If you want to make a really badass album with cool CD packaging, get a quote or shoot us an email.
Artist: Radical Face
Album: Ghosts
Design: Shealah
Year: 2007
Concept: “Ghosts” and is based on the thought that people leave their ghosts behind in every house they live in. The album tells stories from the houses perspective. I used an antique wallpaper pattern and many old frames to give a feeling that the house has had many people pass through it and have all left a piece of themselves there.
I really love the concept behind this CD package design. It’s very aesthetic but it’s more than that– it brings us back to our own houses, of our own ghosts. When was the last time you’ve visited the old house you grew up in? What has changed? What memories are etched on the walls?
The golden portrait/ mirror on the front shows the villa as if it’s a painting, but when you open the CD wallet, you can see the garden and the house in all its glory. I like how the portrait makes the house look like something from the past but when you open it, and see the villa, it feels like you’re in the present.
Do you like this music packaging?
