packaging, I love reading every bit of info about my favorite films (and not from my laptop, please!), I love smelling the pages, and I love the kind of high I get everytime I open a new DVD. That certain ‘consumerist’ high cannot be experienced with downloads. Yeah sure, you can enjoy the visuals and audio… there may be some free posters and perhaps a game, but you can’t touch it. You can’t smell it. With the hard format, you may experience the film or music with your five senses. Sense of sight- the creative packaging plus the film, of course. Sense of hearing- the audio of the film, of course. Sense of touch- the texture of the packaging Sense of smell- Katy Perry’s album has a cotton candy smell Sense of taste- well, I don’t know. Some packages come with edible freebies;-)…my point is, you can’t smell anything online. I love the hard format and I hope the creative guys would still keep creating creative ways to package DVDs. ________________________________________________________________ Unified Manufacturing is an L.A. -based one-stop-shop that offers very affordable CD/DVD/USB replication, custom printing, promotional products, warehousing and fulfillment and many more.
